Belltown United is a coalition of volunteers from our neighborhood residential, business association and community council, working to advocate for the interests of neighborhood residents, businesses, and property owners.
In partnership with Belltown United, Asis works with community partners on various creative initiatives, including: the Portal Porch community design project, By Belltown Mural Project, Belltown Corners community placemaking initiative — and various mural restoration / creative initiatives throughout the neighborhood. Additionally, advocacy to support the vision for a Belltown Portal Park on the Battery Street Tunnel site is ongoing, to provide much needed open space for the Belltown community.
“Belltown is Seattle’s most diverse and most densely populated neighborhood, but efforts to provide open space and vibrant public spaces has been a multi-decades long challenge…but things are changing?”
Belltown United is a community driven non-profit organization working closely with the Belltown Business Association, Belltown Community Council, Friends of Historic Belltown, I Heart Seattle, Belltown Artwalk, Growing Vine Street, Recharge the Battery, — with support from the Downtown Seattle Association / Metropolitan Improvement District and the City of Seattle Office of Economic Development, Office or Arts & Culture, the Department of Neighborhoods, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and King County Council supporting the Belltown Community.
