Fair Rows is an ongoing initiative which includes a series of walking tours and temporary installations, in Washington Square Park.
Most notably, Fair Rows is designed to highlight the historic reverence of the Washington Square Arch and consists of a large scale temporary installation, designed to visually commemorate Marcel Duchamp’s interaction with the Arch, in 1917.
The culmination of these events and installation will inspire public appreciation where elements of the past and present, visible and invisible, accessible and inaccessible can be experienced simultaneously.
Fair Rows is currently in development with The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Washington Square Park Conservancy, Community Board 2, Councilmember Margaret Chin, and Untapped Cities, in partnership with 1m1w1d — Fall 2017 (Ongoing)
